Ruddy's Roofing is a Father and Son Co. My son Jake and I run it out of Round Rock, Texas. One main crew since 2014, most roofs done in a day, and I answer the phone myself. ## One Main Crew Since 2014 > We started Ruddy's Roofing in 2014, and the same crew lead has been with us from the first roof to this one. I hired him in a parking lot. > I had just walked off a job for another company. The owner would not pay for material, so a loaded roof sat for two weeks, and fifty bundles slid off the man's house and took his gutters with them. I was done. The crew chief on that job was standing there too. I asked him in the parking lot if he would put on roofs for me. I told him I would pay him when the job was done, buy his lunch, and he would never run out of ice and water. He said yep. That was 2014. > One crew, on purpose. After the last big hailstorm we had crews from California, Montana, Iowa and Nebraska calling to ask for work. We could have put on three roofs a day. Quality goes downhill when you do that, so we said no. We only use our main crew to ensure a quality job for your roof installation. I don't want to be the biggest, I want to be the best. > With the crew we use, we have never had any issues. I won't use anyone else. My report is still the same: never had a problem, never had a leak, never had them stand me up. ## What We Are Certified to Install Residential shingle roofs, and most of our work is [a full roof replacement](https://ruddysroofing.com/services/roof-replacement/). We are GAF and Owens Corning certified installers. Primarily Owens Corning, and GAF on request. > We are Owens Corning certified, and most of the roofs we put on are Owens Corning shingles. > We are a GAF certified contractor as well. GAF is the largest shingle maker in North America, and we install it on request. > In writing on the agreement. It is a nickname I have carried since I was a boy in the 1960s. > Back then I had a cowlick my Dad could not keep down, no matter how much Brylcreem he used. We duck hunted, and a Ruddy Duck swims with its tail feathers sticking straight up. My big brother took one look at my hair and said, "You look like a Ruddy Duck." > The name stuck for sixty years, and when I started the business, the duck came with it. ## Our Customer Reviews > We had a roof leak during all the rain a few weeks ago.
