Ruddy is not my last name. It is a nickname I have carried since I was a boy in the 1960s.
Back then I had a cowlick my Dad could not keep down, no matter how much Brylcreem he used. We duck hunted, and a Ruddy Duck swims with its tail feathers sticking straight up. My big brother took one look at my hair and said, "You look like a Ruddy Duck."
The name stuck for sixty years, and when I started the business, the duck came with it.
We are Owens Corning certified, and most of the roofs we put on are Owens Corning shingles.
We are a GAF certified contractor as well. GAF is the largest shingle maker in North America, and we install it on request.

We had a roof leak during all the rain a few weeks ago. My husband remembered Ruddy’s Roofing ads from talk radio, so he called them. It was Thursday night, late…and they responded to his call, answered live and proceeded to advise us on what to do. He reassured me that everything was good, and refused to take a fee for the consultation. He asked that in lieu of that, would I donate to WC Animal Shelter, and remember him if we ever need roofing services!

We give you a number after a free look. The price comes from the size and pitch of the roof and the shingle you pick, and we need no money to start.
You pay your own deductible. Texas law requires the deductible to be paid on replacement cost benefit insurance claims, and Texas law prohibits contractors from covering or waiving your deductible. Deductibles are per storm date, so if hail hits again next month, it applies again. Jake walks you through the claim when he comes out.
