We give you a number after a free look. The price comes from the roof's size and pitch and the shingle you pick. There is no charge to come out, no money to start, and you pay when the job is done. Financing is available if you want to spread it out. If a storm did the damage, your insurance may cover most of it, and we walk you through that before you file.

Most roofs are done in one day, depending on the pitch and the structure of the roof. From the day you say go, you are on the production schedule. The order goes in, the supply house pulls it, we check the weather, and the material is delivered a couple of days before and stacked on the roof if possible.

You pay your own deductible. Texas law requires the deductible to be paid on replacement cost benefit insurance claims, and Texas law prohibits contractors from covering or waiving your deductible. A roofer who offers to is billing your insurance company for work that is not being done. Deductibles are per storm date, so if hail hits again next month, it applies again. Jake walks you through the claim when he comes out.

Primarily Owens Corning, and GAF on request. We offer the same products as we put on our own house. Both makers certify us as installers, which is what lets us offer the manufacturer's extended warranty, available on request. Ask when we come out and we will show you the shingle on the sample board before you pick a color.

We tarp the perimeter during tear off to protect the landscaping and make cleanup easier. When the roof is on, we roll the magnet through the yard and the driveway, blow debris out of any gutters, and clean the entire perimeter of debris.

Yes, and the first step is a look. Call and tell us what you are seeing, and Jake comes out to look at the roof. Our customers usually call after a leak in a rain storm, shingles blown off in a wind storm, or a hail storm. If the roof is fine, that is what we tell you.

Yes, when there is a repair waiting. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 6, and Saturday by appointment. If Jake has repairs to do, he does them on a Saturday. In the summer we try to finish by noon on anything that is not a full roof, because it is too hot on a roof in the afternoon.

Yes. There is no charge to come out and no charge to look. Jake comes out, looks at the roof, and tells you what he finds. If the roof is fine, that is what we tell you. If it needs work, you get a written number, and there is no money to start.

Not a steep two story roof. If the house is two story and the pitch is steeper than 9/12, Jake does not walk it. We lean a ladder up there and look from the edge. On most other roofs, Jake walks the roof and circles any hail strikes in chalk.

Then that is what we tell you, and you owe nothing. Jake looks, tells you what he found, and leaves. One customer called about a leak and found out her roof was still under warranty, so she did not need us at all. Call us again after the next storm.

It is the second check. The insurance company holds back depreciation from the first check. If you get the work done for the total of the estimate, they pay the recoverable depreciation after the work is done, and your only out of pocket expense is the deductible. Most policies work this way.

An RCV policy, Replacement Cost Value, has recoverable depreciation, so a second check comes after the work is done. An ACV policy, Actual Cash Value, has non recoverable depreciation. No second check is coming, and you owe the deductible and the depreciation held out. ACV policies are the rare ones.

Before. Have us inspect the roof for storm damage first, then file the claim with your carrier. After the adjuster writes the estimate, let us review it so we know it is written correctly and the work can be done for that amount. In the meantime, do not sign anything a door knocker hands you.

You have six months or up to a year to get the work done after you file a claim. If the work is not done in time, you lose the second payment, the recoverable depreciation. So take your time, but do not let it slide. Have us look first, then file.

No. What they hand you is a contingency agreement. If you do not hire them after they meet your adjuster, they want 20% of the claim total, and there is no dollar amount on it. Walk out and check the license plate on their truck. Some are from out of state and will not be back if you have a leak.

No. Never give a contractor money to start. Supply houses give us a 30 day float, and a company worth its salt can handle that. We need no money to start, and you pay when the work is done. The one thing you do pay is your deductible, because Texas law requires it.

No, the City of Round Rock does not require a permit for a residential reroof. The city does require drip edge along the roof edges. If the job changes the roof itself, not just the shingles, that takes a residential remodel permit. Georgetown and Elgin both require a permit for a reroof, so the rule depends on which city your house is in.
